THE PERSON BEHIND KINTSUREI

Michelle Edsall

Founder of KintsuRei · Trauma-trained therapist · Coach & group facilitator

Michelle Edsall brings together specialized trauma training, a longstanding background in coaching, and a thoughtful approach to the complexity of human relationships. At KintsuRei, her work centers on making difficult experiences more understandable and creating room for reflection, self-trust, and meaningful change.

Specialized training. Continued learning.

Michelle trained directly under Dr. Omar Minwalla and completed every module of the Minwalla Model training. This foundation informs KintsuRei’s attention to deception, psychological abuse, and their impact, alongside the distinct needs of those who have been harmed and the responsibilities of those who have caused harm.

Her professional development also includes training in the Gottman Method. She is currently participating in NARM Master Therapist Training in the NeuroAffective Relational Model, continuing her study of complex and developmental trauma.

A foundation in coaching and leadership

Before becoming a therapist, Michelle spent 15 years as a coach. Her experience also includes corporate leadership training. That background brings a practical dimension to her work: attention to communication, personal responsibility, and how understanding can translate into choices and action.

How that experience shapes KintsuRei

Michelle’s approach brings warmth and directness together. She makes space for difficult questions, careful reflection, and honest conversation without reducing complex experiences to simple advice or promising a particular outcome.

For women considering or navigating divorce after deception with infidelity, KintsuRei offers education and support for understanding the impact, strengthening boundaries, and reconnecting with their own judgment. For men, Integrity in Action provides a separate, structured setting for examining behavior, understanding its consequences, and developing accountability.

Across both programs, the aim is clear teaching, thoughtful support, and room to move with greater intention. The experiences and responsibilities of each group remain distinct.

The work offered here

Although Michelle’s professional background includes therapy, KintsuRei’s groups are offered as coaching, psychoeducation, and support, not psychotherapy. Participants maintain their own individual therapist.
